Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor to star Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’

Dharma Productions confirmed the speculations of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor to share the screen in director Karan Johar’s upcoming “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”. Anushka Sharma will play third lead in the film.

The announcement was made public on Twitter this morning.

“Here’s the big news! @karanjohar to direct Aishwarya, Ranbir and Anushka in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. To be released on June 3, 2016,” the production house tweeted.

This will be the first time for seventh time director Karan Joha to direct Aishwarya, Ranbir and Anushka.

The film will go on floor mid next year and will be released on 3 June 2016.

Earlier Karan Johan indicated in an interview with The Times of India that Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will deal with relationships, heartbreaks and about love.

“It’s a film that dwells deeply on relationships, heartbreaks and how love completes you, defines you and yet leaves you wanting for more. I have never had, in my entire career, a film that has come to me so fast, so organically and so from within,” Karan said.

“Ae Dil Hai Mushkil also fulfills my big dream to work with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. It is possibly her most unusual and contemporary character and I can’t wait to work with her. It is too early to talk about the film, but for now, all I want to say is that it is not a conventional love story or love triangle,” Karan added.
