The shooting of director Abhishek Verman’s ‘2 States’ has been going on in IIM-Ahmedabad campus. The movie is based on Chetan Bhagat’s best-selling novel of the same name.
The movie is being co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Karan Johar, Gauri Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Alia Bhatt is the female lead, while Arjun Kapoor is playing the protagonist Krish Malhotra.
The filmmakers have decided to release the movie ‘2 States’ on April 18 next year.
‘2 States’ is a romantic story between a Punjabi boy Krish Malhotra and a Tamil girl Ananya Swaminathan.
Author Chetan Bhagat, who was also the alumnus of IIM-Ahmedabad twitted few days back, “Will visit the 2 States film set. And my old college. Oh wait, both are the same today. 2 States – the film, at IIMA today!”
This is Chetan’s fourth books which are being made into movies. Three of his best-selling books – One Night@The Call Centre (Hello) and Five Point Someone (3 Idiots) and The 3 Mistakes Of My Life (Kai Po Che!) – have already been made into movies.
Chetan Bhagat is currently busy writing the screenplay of Salman Khan’s Kick.
