The awards of New York Film Critics Circle are out.
NYFCC’s lead acting awards went to Robert Redford for “All is Lost” and Cate Blanchett for “Blue Jasmine,” while Jared Leto nabbed the supporting actor title for “Dallas Buyers Club.” “American Hustle” is named as the best film of the year.
“Blue is the Warmest Color” scored foreign film, “The Wind Rises” took the animated trophy and “Stories We Tell” won for documentary in the ceremony that was staged Monday night.
Steve McQueen of 12 Years a Slave has been awarded the best director. Jennifer Lawrence of American Hustle is named as the Best Supporting Actress. The best screenplay award also went to American Hustle. The Best Cinematographer award went to Bruno Delbonnel for his incredible Inside Llewyn Davis.
Stories We Tell is awarded as the best Non-Fiction Film or Documentary of the year.
