The much awaited third and final installment of Shiva Trilogy, “The Oath of Vayuputras” will be released on 27 February, 2013. Amish Triphati’s new book, a concluding part of the Shiva Trilogy, has already created noise with huge pre-orders with Flipkart, Infibeam and Indiaplaza. It is widely expected that “The Oath of Vayuputras” will repeat history.
The Shiva Trilogy becomes “one of the most successful book series in the history of Indian publishing” as the first 2 books of the trilogy, The Immortals of Meluha and The Secret of the Nagas have sold over 1 million copies as on December 2012.
The first book of the series, The Immortals of Meluha has also published in the four different Indian languages – Marathi, Gujarati, Hindi and Telegu.
The cover of “The Oath of Vayuputras” was unveiled by film maker, Karan Johar whose company Dharma Productions have bought the movie rights of The Immortals of Meluh in 2012.
An IIM( Kolkata) graduate Amish Tripathi had a successful career in financial sector before he turned into a best-selling author. 36-year-old Amish, who is passionate about Indian mythology and philosophy, portrays Indian god Shiva’s life and adventures through his imagination in Shiva Trilogy where he describes Shiva’s transition from a human being to God.
