Kiriti Sengupta’s books launched at Crossword

Dr. Kiriti Sengupta’s books were launched at Crossword bookstore in Kolkata on Monday. The book launch event was managed by the Primarc group at their exclusive book store located at Elgin Road in Kolkata in association with Spectralhues.com (website partner), infibeam.com (online retailer) and Authors Empire (publisher).

Dr. Jaydeep Sarangi, an associate professor of English language and literature, Calcutta University; Mr. Anit Mukerjea, a noted journalist-cum-painter from Calcutta; and Dr. Rumpa Das, an associate professor of English literature, Calcutta University were present at the august gathering.

Ms. Debosmita Sarkar, the executive of corporate communication and marketing made the introduction speech where she said, “Our author Dr. Kiriti Sengupta is the only one from the Kolkata literary circuit of writers in English-language who has been able to make it to the bestselling list of books after a period of a decade’s time.”

The event has witnessed official launch of four English-language books authored by Dr. Kiriti Sengupta: 1. The Unheard I, 2. The Reciting Pens, 3. My Dazzling Bards, and 4. My Glass Of Wine.

The chief guest Dr. Jaydeep Sarangi delivered his brief note on the history of Kolkata poets writing in English language.

Mr. Anit Mukerjea shared his views on the book The Reciting Pens and congratulated the author for taking up the enormous task of projecting a few of the not-so-famous Bengali poets to the English speaking readers.

Meanwhile Mr. Ranadeb Dasgupta, a published Bengali poet from Calcutta spoke on his association with the author.

Thereafter Dr. Rumpa Das ceremonially launched the bestselling title, My Glass Of Wine and read out a few of her favorite poems from the said. On her request author Kiriti Sengupta recited few poems from his book.

The event was covered by renowned Print and electonic media houses such as The Statesman, Saturday Times, Hindustan Times, Rajasthan Patrika, Akash Bangla, etc.

The event was ended with thanksgiving speech followed by refreshments.
