Dessert Cafés have gained popularity in Mumbai, adding to the gastronomic experiences the city has to offer. These Dessert Cafés obviously famous for their signature desserts, also serve amazing mainstream food as well.
One such Dessert Café which caught my eye was The Rolling Pin, Lower Parel. Situated opposite High Street Phoenix, this little place has charm and class. The exteriors itself look inviting, with pastries put up for display. Once you enter The Rolling Pin, you are greeted with the aroma of freshly baked Bakery products. They have an open Baking space which is like watching little miracles happen!
The seating is comfortable and cozy. The menu is enticing. Right from Humus to Sliders, they’ve covered it all, adding a little touch of Bombay here and there.
The star is the Paneer Tikka Pizza and the Pav Bhaji Pizza. Generously topped with Capsicums, cheese and Paneer Tikka, this amazing dish is served as a rectangular pizza with 10 pieces. Melts-in-your-mouth Pav Bhaji Pizza scores really high, being an amazing melange of two amazing dishes!
The Moussaka: a traditional Greek dish served by the Rolling Pin is an exotic dish. Similar to a lasagna, topped with loads of cheese and served with a gravy one has to develop a taste for this delicious dish!
Moving on to the star of the Rolling Pin.. the desserts. The Chocolate Mousse Bar is the Hero. Mentioned across various portal as one of the best desserts in the City. Soft, creamy and dreamy.. this is a must have.
Cute cupcakes and crumbling cookies from The Rolling Pin are little pieces of happiness!
The Rolling Pin is an amazing experience and will set you back by maximum Rs 550 per person.
Just one grievance, the portions are a bit small.. Just not enough to get the satisfaction!
