Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur Will Sing For ‘Aashiqui’ Sequel

Mahesh Bhatt gears up for making of the sequel of 1991 musical hit ‘Aashiqui’! This time however he will be there as a producer and Mohit Suri will direct the film.

‘Aashiqui’ was one of the biggest hits in 90s, the film also made stars out of Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal and Kumar Sanu as singer.

Twenty-one years later in ‘Aashiqui 2’ Mohit and Mahesh roped into Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur to start the lead. Both of them are trained musicians. While Shraddha plays piano since her childhood, Aditya loves playing guitar. Both of them are set to sing for Aashiqui sequel.

Mahesh Bhatt always said that ‘Aashiqui’ was a special film for him. It was based on his own love story. In a recent interview Mahesh said, “21 years later, Bhushan Kumar and Mohit Suri have come together to dream the same dream that we did years ago. ‘Aashiqui 2’ will dare to rise up to the expectations ignited by this ageless musical and continue the legacy. It will be written by Shagufta Rafique and it is not a REMAKE!”

It is to see whether after 21 years Bhatt camp can repeat the magic with ‘Aashiqui’ again?
