Surely current market leader in the small car segment Maruti’s Alto is to face a tough Challenge from Hyundai’s Eon.
Hyundai claims that Eon is offering much more than what Maruti’s Alto offers so far. Although it is an entry-level car but Hyundai has done no compromise with Eon. It provides very big space with a large boot – something that only seen in bigger cars. Hyundai did not compromise on Eon’s style. Eon was conceived, designed and produced exclusively for the Indian market.
Eon features the ‘Fluidic’ design characteristic of the restyled Verna which gave a serious competition to its rivals like Honda City and Volkswagen Vento after its makeover.
The base price of the car is being quoted between Rs 2.50 lakh and Rs 2.60 lakh. The upper end of the car will cost less than the base variant of Hyundai’s i10. The price of rival Alto is Rs 2.32 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
