Pakistan’s Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani is in dilemma again!
Today the Supreme Court said it summons Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for contempt over his denial to pursue corruption cases against the president Zardari. He has to present before the Apex court on February 13.
“After the preliminary hearing, we are satisfied that prima facie there is a case for further proceeding into the matter. Adjourned for February 13, for framing charges. Prime minister is required to remain present in the court,” Judge Nasir-ul-Mulk said.
“There is a possibility for an appeal in this matter. It is up to the court whether to suspend this order or not. This will be decided after getting a copy of the order,” Gilani’s lawyer Aitzaz Ahsan said.
Earlier on January 19 PM Gilani appeared before the Supreme Court to defend his action of refusing to re-open a corruption case against Zardari as the head of state has immunity.
