India’s number one automaker Maruti Suzuki registered 5.2% rise in their January sales at 115,433 vehicles against last year’s 109,743 units selling.
Domestic sales in January reported 101,047 units and in exports Maruti sold 14,386 vehicles with a jump of 54.6%.
Thanks to its best selling model Swift, Estilo and Ritz, Maruti registered 22.4% hike in sales in the compact segment.
However the mini passenger vehicle segment which include cars like Maruti 800, Alto, A-Star and Wagon-R, reported sales decrease of 2.4% in January to 52,036 units.
