The story speaks of Ayushman Ghosh, an introvert yet intellectual bloke and his amateurish whims and fallacies of childhood. How his fraternal relation with Ronit eats a humble pie at the amorous fantasy of his adolescence infatuation Ahana, the early chapters of the book vindicates. Hailing from a middle class economic background, he tries to fulfill every ambition of his parents that were entrusted upon him either willingly or unwillingly. Ayushman keeps a handsome academic record since his childhood proving his credentials at various creative domain of life. Got entangled into political hara-kiri of Jadavpur University, cherished sensational culmination of adolescence metamorphosis. Being a meritorious student gets a decent job. Being an inceptive introvert ,his pursuit of happiness lies in certain creative endeavor, a dairy writer; he fell in love with more than one woman at different instances only to decipher the meaning of `true love’ at the end.
Every Human life can be compared to that of a tree, with birds (relations) coming at different time.
Same does happens with Ayush. Despite being a meritorious student, a spectacular public speaker his mind finds peace in emotional happiness. In search of soul-mate his romantic manoeuvre travels through the hearts of Ahana, Shrestha, Ritu and Joanna at different phases of life.
Let’s have a short perception of the characters as endeavored through different pages of the book.
Ritu: An ambitious girl, who likes to see her boyfriend cum better-half cum husband going in parity with her ever cherishing dreams.
Joanna: A rare combination of intellect with beauty. Fails to harmonize her feelings with that of Ayush at the trident of time, situation and it’s consequence.
Shrestha: One of those pompous-flexible-flamboyant characters who always wants to get attention from her boyfriend/lover. Believes in the `denizen of dreamland’ concept of perfect partner and thus falls pity at the hand of bittersweet fortune.
Ahana: A self-confident beautiful woman who can do anything to maintain her dignity.
The book consists of all the ingredients to make a sumptuous ‘mirch-masala’ Bollywood movie. Like a perfect commercial movie, this book provides a melancholy flashback of struggling parents, who gives their child a good education at the cost of tedious sacrifice of their luxurious desires. An obedient child, meritorious yet shy student, gets emotionally hoodwinked by his brother like friend at the adolescence urge of teenage. How an intellectual yet romantic heart roams from person to person in search unconditional love; The story speaks. People always thrive for love without perceiving the actual meaning of it. How does it feel when a person wishes love from another but finds love from third person. The book will give a wholesome answer to all those lifelong queries. “And then, she said yes!”, the title itself speaks of the philosophy “Life is where opportunity meets preparation”. Life holds a cosmic key to give answers to certain relevant questions, but it’s lock gets deciphered only at the optimum moment and the person has to wait for that opportune moment. The debutant author here tries to deliver an emotional consequence of an ingenuous introvert through certain melodramatic sequence, where a person finds his love in the most unconventionally uncanny way.

Life is a jigsaw puzzle where certain answers get disclosed in round-robin way with a loop of pleasing capriciousness. May the author’s cathartic message touches the heart of his beloved readers through his debutant book.
