In yet another bizarre news that has managed to grab eyeballs of everybody, a teenager, armed with an axe and a knife, attacked some 20 passengers on a train in northern Bavaria, Germany.
The attacker, who has been identified to be an Afghan national, was a 17-year old refugee, who had arrived in the nation as an ‘unaccompanied minor’, passing his days with foster kin, since the past few weeks. Around three people suffered grave injuries while one managed to escape with light scars, before the driver was warned by fellow passengers and the attacker was eventually shot dead, by the police. The teen seemed to flee after the bizarre happenings but was followed by a team of cadets, which ended up with him being killed. It was discovered that he possessed an axe and a knife, to threaten and attack those on board.
The real reason behind the attack remains unclear. No extremist outfit as such has claimed any responsibility for the same, however a witness reported that the teenager shouted “Allahu Akbar”, during the happenings.
The train line between Ochsenfurt and Würzburg, the place of attack, remained shut, as investigations continued.
