Weekly Bollywood Rundown: One stop for all the buzz

The industry has so many things going on all the time that it gets unbelievable at times. From breakups to linkups, from red carpet outings to movie promotions, there is plenty for everyone. Here, we break down all the interesting things from the week gone by:

Top NewsMakers of the Week

1. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – This Sarbjit actress was all over the news for all good reasons. With Sarbjit been screened at Cannes’16, she, along with the entire cast of the film, received excellent feedback from the critics as well as audience. While her performance was nothing short of stunning and made headlines everywhere, her red carpet style was also equally talked about. While her dresses were the epitome of elegance and class, her purple lipstick left everyone in frenzy and was also the subject of various jokes.

2. Anushka Sharma – Virat Kohli– When these two love birds broke up, it came as a real shocker. Since then there have been signs that the couple might have worked it out, be it the message Virat posted in support of Anushka after many people took a dig at her, or when he followed her on Instagram on her birthday or their dinner date. So, when these two were photographed together after RCB registered a win on Wednesday, paparazzis went wild and we cannot blame them. They were all smile as they posed with people at a Japanese restaurant. The fans of these two mega stars could not have been happier.

3.  Sonam Kapoor – The Cannes Film Festival is here, and it would be absolutely unfair to say that we were not looking forward to see our desi diva Sonam Kapoor take on the red carpet. And boy, she did not disappoint! Be it the vision-in-white Ralph & Russo, her ‘Frozen’ moment in an ice blue dress by the same designer, she made the fashion police across the globe stand up to admire her style and absolute command over her fashion. Well, when you are dressed like that, can anyone stop you from been the center of attention?

NEW this week!

While the last week was a quite one, this one can be called the exact opposite. Take a look at all the new outings we were surprised with in this week:

1.  Anil Kapoor in Family Guy– Last year, we were taken by surprise when the news that Anil Kapoor was to guest star in Family Guy had broken out. Now, after almost a year since that piece of news was out, we have finally got the much anticipated first look into his character. With sleek black hair, a good tailored suit, the animation team seem to have done a fantastic job.

2.  Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay teaser- Snow clad mountains, more snowfall, just one hand and a well written caption. Well, what is not to be excited about it? Releasing this Diwali, Shivaay is directed by Ajay himself. He took to twitter to share the first teaser of the film with all his fans saying “This Diwali, adventure begins with Shivaay.” If the teaser poster is anything to go by, we cannot wait for the adventure to begin!

The channels that topped the list for urban ratings were Colors, Star plus with Naagin and Yeh Hai Mohabbatein being number one and two respectively.
