Former Bharatiya Jan Sangh (BJS) Président and veteran activist of Rashtriya Swamyasewak Sangh (RSS) Balraj Madhok passed away in the capital on Monday.
Madhok, aged 96, had not been keeping well since the last few days. The news of his death came in at around 9 am, where he died at his residence in the heart of Central Delhi, New Rajendra Nagar. Madhok is been regarded for establishing the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), way back in 1951. He was later elected to the House of People in the next decade.
His body is to be cremated at Satya Nagar cremetorium at 5.00 pm, a RSS official stated in his statement to the media. His supporters and followers have expressed deep and heartfelt condolences with his kith.
