ODD-EVEN 2.0 STARTS TODAY. LET’S MAKE IT WORK, SAYS ARWIND KEJRIWAL

The second phase of the Odd-even scheme was rolled by the Delhi government on Friday. This will have about 2000 traffic personnels, 580 enforcement officials and over 5000 civil defence volunteers posted on the roads of Delhi for 15 days.

Not much rush is expected on the public transport connectivity on the first day, being public holiday on the account of Ram Navami.

The Delhi metro stations and Delhi Transportation Corporation have heralded extra trains and buses respectively till April 30.

“An imposition framework has been sketched out under which the city has been classified into 11 zones for the implementation. Each zone is further divided into 10 sectors. One mobile team will operate in each sector”, reported Transport Minister, Gopal Rai.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter saying: “Odd-Even starts today. Let’s all join hands to make it a success.”
