First look of ‘Airlift’ revealed

The first poster much-awaited ‘Airlift’ has been revealed by superstar Akshay Kumar which is based on the biggest evacuation of Indians living in Kuwait during the 1990s Iraq-Kuwait war.

The movie is being directed by Raja Krishna Menon and co-produced by Nikkhil Advani.  “The Lunchbox” fame Nimrat Kaur is playing the female lead.

The actor, who has been shooting for the last leg of the movie in Rajasthan, twitted, “Mark the date guys… @AirliftFilm releases on 22nd January, 2016”

“How many people know about the Kuwait evacuation? I’m proud to be part of a film that brings this true story alive,” he added.

Nikkhil Advani twitted, “The sad thing is we really don’t need to #RewindTo1990. The innocent are still the collateral damage in any war.”

The poster is captioned as “1,70,000 Refugees, 488 Flights, 59 days, 1 man.”
