Apple launches the iPhone 6s

Apple recently launched thee iPhone 6s along with a bunch of other products at the recently held even in San Francisco, the phone is priced at 199$ with a 2 year contract and 650$ for an unlocked one and yes the base model again starts with just 16 GB of storage.

Starting with the design, the 6s is identical to the previous year’s flagship and look almost exactly like the iPhone 6 but this time the phone is a litter thicker and heavier to accommodate the upgraded hardware.

The display again is a 4.7 inch retina display like the iPhone 6 the screen is protected by Ion-strengthened glass along with oleophobic coating. There is also a new feature introduced to the touch of the phone called a 3D touch which we have previously seen on the apple watch as force touch. It essentially lets you determine the time and the force of your touch and then reacts to the input provided.

The hardware has been upgraded to the new A9 chipset clocked at 1.5 GHz along with the M9 motion chipset which is complimentary to the main processor the RAM has also been doubled to 2 GB. The storage still remains the same at 16 GB 64 GB and 128 GB.

The photography department has also been upgraded in terms the megapixel count, the rear now sports a 12 MP camera with true tone LED flash and optical image stabilization (OIS). The front camera too has been upgraded to a 5 MP sensor along with Retina Flash which turns the display bright pink to give you more light, similar to a true-tone flash.

The phone is powered by a 1810 mAh non removable Li-Po battery along with connectivity options which remain the usual like 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS etc. on the software front the phone will ship with iOS 9 out of the box.

The TouchID is also claimed to be improved along with apple pay. The phone will be available in 4 colors Space Grey, Silver, Gold and Rose Gold. The rose gold is a new addition to the lineup. The phone is expected to go on sale on 25^th of September in the US and there is no word on the Indian price or the launch date.
