Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed CEO’s at the India-Chine Business Forum in Shanghai, on Saturday, calling for a harmonious partnership between the two nations. This partnership, the Prime Minister said, was essential for the economic development and political stability in Asia.

The poverty issue faced by the two nations can be tackled together and for a cooperative process, PM Modi said, he was personally committed. Addressing the company heads at the Forum, Prime Minister Modi said, “This industrial partnership of China and India can bring about greater investment, employment and satisfaction of our people.”
At the India-China Business Forum, 21 agreements were signed between firms from India and China, which, reportedly, are worth USD 22 Billion.
The Prime Minister promised that the CEO’s of the Chinese companies would get his personal attention, while inviting the companies to invest in India, claiming commitment to improving the business environment. This interaction was attended by several top Chinese tycoons.
