US Ambassador Mark Lippert was attacked and slashed on the face and wrist by a man with knife who was screaming in demand of unified North and South Korea on Thursday in Seoul.
The Ambassador was in stable condition after being treated at a local hospital. The US State Department condemned the attack.
The images showed a shocked Lippert gazing at his blood-covered left hand and holding his right hand over a cut on the right side of his face, his pink tie marked with blood.

According to YTN TV the police has suspected and identified the attacker as 55-year-old Kim Ki-jong, who was screaming while attaching, “South and North Korea should be reunified.”
