Chinese hardware manufacturer Xiaomi is set to take on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Apple iPhone 6 Plus with its new phablet the Mi Note.
With 6.95mm-thick smartphone, the Mi Note comes with 5.7-inch 1080p display, covered in curved Gorilla glass which the company refers as “2.5D”.
It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2.5GHz quad-core CPU. The Mi Note has 3GB RAM and 16/64GB internal memory, 3000 mAh battery and a 13-megapixel primary camera. The handset sports a 4 megapixel secondary camera with 2 micron pixel size similar to HTC One UltraPixel camera.
With dual 4G supported SIM cards, the phone runs on the new MIUI 6 software and will be available in black and white colours.
Pre-orders for Mi Note would be open from January 20. While the 16GB model is priced at $371 (approx Rs. 23000), the 64GB model comes at $451 (approx Rs. 28000).
Xiaomi has also announced flagship smartphone Mi Note Pro version which runs on Snapdragon 810 with 4GB RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. It comes with 2K – 2560x 1440 pixels resolution and would be available around Rs 32,900.
