Soha Ali Khan to play female lead in Sunny Deol’s ‘Ghayal’ sequel

Actress Soha Ali Khan is going to play the lead role in Sunny Deol’s ‘Ghayal 2’.

Soha confirmed the news on Twitter, “To put an end to the confusion, I am playing the female lead in ‘Ghayal 2’ but it’s not a romantic film -it is, as expected, an action thriller.”

However, the actress rejects the claim that she is going to romance Sunny Deol in the film.

“It is an action thriller, and ours is not a romantic pairing. I actually have a substantive and integral role in the film,” Soha said, adding, “I loved Ghayal. I’m excited to be part of the sequel. I have always had immense respect for Sunnyji and his entire family, and have been welcomed to the production with so much warmth.”

According to the sources, ‘Ghayal 2’ will begin from where original ‘Ghayal’ ended.Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, Ghayal is a cult film in Sunny Deol’s career. The movie featured Meenakshi Seshadri in female role.

Soon after director Ashwini Chaudhary walked out of Ghayal 2 project, it was replaced by Rahul Rawail but once he too dropped the project, Sunny Deol stepped in to direct it himself.
