Heavy turnout in J&K and Jharkhand in third phase polling

Heavy turnout registered in Jammu and Kashmir for the third phase of polling on Tuesday. As per the final tally provided by the election commission, 58% voters have cast their votes in 16 Assembly constituencies in Jammu and Kashmir. It is indeed a victory for democracy that people at large came out despite security threats and recent militant attacks.

Jharkhand too has seen good turnout in the third phase. It registered 61% casting in17 assembly constituency.

The fourth and fifth phase of polls would be taken place on December 14 and 20.

The results would be  declared on December 23.
