Publi’s Bengal connection

We often see the Bengali actresses from B-Town, go the traditional way by draping an elegant Bengali sari at various occasions. Seems like this trend is ruling over small screen as well. The latest addition to the Bengali sarees Club is Publi Sanyal who is currently seen in Star Plus’ Nisha Aur Uske Cousins.

This bong lady believes that sarees from west bengal are the best and that’s the reason why Publi wears her own Bengali collection on show even though the story is set in Jaipur.

Confirming to the news Publi Sanyal said, “I’m in love with my bong culture, traditions, food and above all Kantha Stitch Bengali saree collection. It looks extremely classy and tends to showcase the beauty of the simplicity. I am lucky that my character of Lakshmi who is a working woman demands a simple yet elegant look. I have seen my mother wearing such sarees when she used to work and I think this look does justice to my character very well.”
