Five civilians including two women and a 10-year-old child have been killed in a Pakistani firing and shelling along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir earlier this morning. 25 people were also injured and taken to the nearby hospitals.
This was the worst attack by Pakistani troops who have been continuously violating ceasefire for the last two months. They fired at BSF jawans along RS Pura sector in Jammu.
IANS quoted a senior police officer who said, “The number of civilians killed in Pakistani firing in Arnia has gone up to five as one more person has succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to a hospital,”
“We are taking all necessary steps to minimize further damage to life and property. The BSF (Border Security Force) is responding well to the firing,” the police officer said.
The Villagers along the borders of Kashmir are now scared and have started shifting from their house following regular firing by Pakistani troops.
The Indian government has yet to response in this incident.
