Anil Ambani’s Reliance Power the JPVL’s 1800 MW hydroelectric power portfolio at over Rs 10,000 crore on Sunday. Fully operational JPVL’s hydroelectric power project has a capacity of producing 1,800 MW power and is one of the largest power portfolios in India, with asset worth over Rs 10,000 crore.
The deal between Reliance CleanGen Ltd (RCL) and Jaiprakash Power Ventures (JPVL) will give Reliance Power one of the largest private power companies in the country with 7,800 MW operating capacity by next year.
After the deal RCL to get 100% acquisition of 3 plants including 300 MW Baspa stage two plant in Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh, a 400 MW Vishnuprayagn plant in Chamoli District in Uttarakhand and 1091 MW Karcham Wangtoo plant in Himachal Pradesh.
