Telangana appoints Sania Mirza as its brand ambassador

Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza has been appointed as the ‘Brand Ambassador’ of the state of Telangana.

“Telangana is proud of Sania who is a true Hyderabadi. She’s now ranked number five in international tennis and we wish she becomes the number one,” the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said on Tuesday.

State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Managing Director Jayesh Rajan said that Sania will promote her new “state” in India and outside.

The government today handed over a appointment letter and a cheque of Rs one crore to Sania.
