Senior Congress leader and State Industries Minister Narayan Rane has resigned from the Maharashtra cabinet on Monday.
The move has been seen as a part of pressurisation tactics on party high command over the change of leadership issue. Rane wanted party to sack Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan from his post.
Only last week Rane said party will face severe loss in the coming Assembly elections present leadership has not been changed.
