Chandababu Naidu demands Rs 13.2 lakh crore for loss of Hyderabad

Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandababu Naidu has sought compensation of Rs 13.2 lakh crore from the centre for losing Hyderabad which is now a part of new state Telangana.

After previous government approved the AP Reorganisation Act, now Andhra Pradesh will not get any revenue generated in Hyderabad.

Naidu is likely to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 25 in the capital and put forward the demand.

“This amounts to a total investment of Rs 13.2 lakh crore on Hyderabad alone. We will request the Centre to compensate for Hyderabad as we have lost out on two thirds of our revenue,” TOI quote AP information technology minister Palle Raghunatha Reddy.
