Shahrukh Khan Inaugrates 42nd International Film Festival in Goa

The 42nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was inaugurated on 23rd November 2011 by the renowned film actor Shahrukh Khan who lit the ceremonial lamp at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.

Ambika Soni – Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Digambar Kamat – Chief Minister of Goa, Uday Kumar Varma – Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Rituparna Sengupta – the famous Bengali actor, and Shankar Mohan – Director of IFFI, were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.

The international jury panel for the festival consists of Adoor Gopalakrishnan (Chairman), Dan Wolman (Israel), Lawrence Kardish (US), Tahmineh Milani (Iran) and Lee Yong Kwan.

The 42nd IFFI would come to a close on 3rd December 2011.
