Vivek Express, which was inaugurated on 19th November (Saturday), and was
expected to arrive at Kanyakumari at 10.25 AM on 23rd November (Wednesday), completed its inaugural run eight hours ahead of schedule – and missed its ‘welcome party’ at Kanyakumari in the process!
The train will leave for the return journey to Dibrugarh at 2 PM on 26th November (Saturday).
Since the train arrives at Kanyakumari on Wednesday and leaves for the return journey to Dibrugarh the following Saturday, it may prove to be very convenient for tourists visiting South. The same advantage is available to visitors to the North-east too.
While the train may not reach its destination 8-hours ahead of time on every run, we just hope that it won’t be the only occasion where the train reached its destination ahead of time – or even just on time! More importantly, we hope the train would not ever create a record of the other kind by reaching its destination eight hours late.
