Second attack in Karachi within 48 hours; ASF camps targeted

Within 48 hours of the previous attack, terror again struck Karachi. This time, not the airport but the ASF camp which is close to it was targeted. Two gun-borne militants entered the area through a bike and began firing towards a girl’s hostel. The Airport Security Force immediately got into action and retaliated to the gunmen.

KarachiAirportattackHeavy firing was exchanged between the security officials and militants. Soon after this incident was reported, the Pakistani rangers as well as police officials were rushed to the spot. The area was cordoned off and its security was increased. The Pakistani media too reached at the incident spot. Sounds of gun fire could be heard in the television footages.

The intention of the militants was to attack the planes in the airport. Due to the attack, flights at Karachi International Airport were suspended. However, the air traffic was resumed soon after the situation was brought under control and the army cleared the area. The terrorist flee away after firing but the security officials could not catch hold of them. The Tehreek-e-Taliban took the responsibility of this attack.

This place is close to the Jinnah International Airport of Karachi which was attacked two days ago. On Sunday, attackers from the Taliban attacked Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, the busiest and the largest airport of Pakistan.

The militants targeted the terminal 1, an old terminal which is rarely used. They then began firing. The Airport Security Force officials too hit back by firing off. Terror outfit Taliban had launched this attack too, which later became clear as they claimed responsibility for the attack.

Smoke was seen engulfing out from the hangers inside the airport. Google maps showed an image of a destroyed plane parked at the airport. 18 were killed while 24 were injured in this incident at the Karachi airport. A flight engineer of Pakistani International Airlines, FakhrulH. Khan died during this attack. Also, all the 10 terrorists were shot down by the security officials. One militant, reportedly was a human bomb and exploded while security personnel’s were going to shoot him.

On the orders of the Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the Karachi Second attack in Karachi within 48 hours; ASF camps targetedInternational Airport was soon opened up for the other passengers. Images of four killed terrorist made rounds on Social Networking soon after all the terrorists were killed and the situations were bought under control.

JuD chief Hafiz Saeed blamed Indian Prime Minister NarendraModi for the attack. A tweet from Jamat-ud-Dawah chief Md. Hafiz Saeed said, “#KarachiAirport is an attack on Pakistan. Modi’s new security team is behind this act of war by India. Nation knows the real enemy.”

Pakistan’s Interior Minister Ch.Nisar Ali Khan said that the terrorists who attacked the terminal of old Karachi airport appear to be foreigners.

However, terror outfit Taliban has taken up the responsibility over the terror attack. Now, when the terror organization itself has taken up responsibility, blaming Modi for the attack is absolutely bizarre and esoteric. India has always maintained its strict stand against terrorism. A day after Narendra Modi swore in as the Prime Minister of the country, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had a meeting with him at Hyderabad House.

Even during this meet Prime Minister NarendraModi had conveyed his concerns over terrorism. Indian Ministry of External Affairs had reported that in the meeting it was conveyed that Pakistan must abide by its commitment to prevent its territory and territory under its control from being used for terrorism against India.

Even in past, several terror attacks have been reported from Pakistan. Instead of blaming, Pakistan must take strict actions against the terrorist and terror outfits. Terrorism needs to be wiped out by Pakistan from its lands.
