Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday told his ministers to focus on good governance, efficiency, delivery system. Modi has asked his ministers to strongly restrain from appointing any relatives or close aides in their staff.
At a media briefing, the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that in Thursday’s cabinet meet the Prime Minister has directed a ’10-point’ agenda to his ministers to end the policy paralysis.
Narendra Modi has also asked his ministers to fix a time frame of priorities for the first 100 days.
“The PM wants all ministers to have their own time-table on the priorities in each ministry for the first 100 days,” said Naidu.
“The PM said states should be given priority and letters from the states should be responded to,” he added.
Naidu said that the Prime Minister will meet respective ministers and secretaries separately to discuss all pending and vital issues.
Here’s the 10-pont agenda:-
1. Education, health, water energy and roads to be priorities
2. Build confidence in bureaucracy
2. Welcome innovative ideas and give freedom to bureaucrats to work
4. Transparency in govt, e auction will be promoted
5. People oriented policy will be govt’s priority
6. Infrastructure and investment reforms
7. System to be in place for inter-ministerial issues
8. Economy’s concerns to be addressed
9. Policies to be implemented in time-bound manner
10. Stability and sustain ability in govt policies
In the cabinet meet, the Prime Minister also asked his ministers to be extra careful while addressing the media and stay away from making controversial remarks.
