Karunanidhi calls Narendra Modi a ‘good friend’

BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi found a surprise ‘friend’ in DMK chief Karunanidhi on Friday. Praising him as a ‘hard worker’ Karunanidhi said Modi is a ‘good friend’ of him.

Although in an interview with Tamil newspaper ‘Dinamalar, Karunanidhi did not comment on a possible tie-up with the BJP, but his softening stand towards Modi will give a huge boost to NDA camp.

“The hectic election campaign by Modi shows he is a hardworker. He is also a good friend of mine,” he said.

Whether he will join BJP-led NDA after the polls, Karunanidhi said that he could not “speculate and tell what will be the situation after the Lok Sabha polls.”

DMK also wants to tie-up with Vijaykant’s DMDK, who currently negotiating with BJP.
