A day after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal resigned from his post, Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on Saturday recommended President’s rule in the state without dissolution the Delhi Assembly.
LG has sent Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation letter along with a comprehensive report on Delhi’s political situation to the President Pranab Mukherjee.
Although the AAP government had recommended dissolution of the assembly with immediate effect to the Lt Governor, but Jung has discarded the suggestion along with the demand of fresh elections.
Kejriwal has resigned on Friday as Delhi Chief Minister after AAP was failed to table the Janlokpal Bill in the Delhi Assembly. Both Congress and BJP were against the manner in which Kejriwal government was pushing the bill despite LT Governor’s objection.
