Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has tabled the controversial Telengana Bill in the Lok Sabha on Thursday.
The house was soon adjourned as the unprecedented protest broke out against government’s decision to divide the state of Andhra Pradesh and create Telengana statehood.
Seemandhra MPs were seen stalling the parliament, shouting and sloganing against the government’s decision, Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal had used pepper spray in the house to add ruckus. MPs were seen coughing and shouting after experiencing burning sensation due to the spray. Marshals were brought in to control the situation. Three MPs have been injured and taken to the hospital following nasty scuffle.
Parliamentary affairs minister Kamal Nath has said that government will take action against MPs who cause the chaos in parliament.
Back in Andhra Pradesh four Congress MLAs have resigned against the government’s decision to introduce the T-bill in the parliament. Now all eye on Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy for his reaction to this development.
