Expelled party member and Laxminagar MLA Vinod Kumar Binny has claimed to have 4 MLAs supports with him and called for a ‘dharna’ against the AAP government if the electoral promises are not fulfilled within next 48 hours.
“We are five MLAs in total. Twelve more people are joining us. If the government does not listen to us in 48 hours, then we will have another meeting and decide our next course of action. But we do not intend to do any harm to the Delhi government,” 39-year-old Binny said.
The JD(U) MLA Shoaib Iqbal and the Independent Ranbeer Shokeen had openly supported Binny.
“I along with Shoaib Iqbal and Rambir will meet Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and withdraw support if our demands are not met in 48 hours,” Binny said.
Binny had earlier called Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a ‘liar’ and a ‘dictator’.
Meanwhile, one of the founding members of AAP Madhu Bhaduri has quit the party, alleging AAP mistreats women.
Bhaduri wanted the party to issue an apology to the African women whom the Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti had heckled but her proposal was rejected and was allegedly humiliated at the party meet.
“The party has a mentality of a khap panchayat. There is no space for women. If the other women leaders have any self-respect, they will quit too,” Madhu Bhaduri said.
“The party has changed for the weight of votes. They just want to win the elections,” Madhu Bhaduri added.
