Sheila Dikshit blames Congress for Delhi defeat

Former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit blames her party for the election debacle in the state. Sheila Dikshit also admitted that Congress did underestimate Aam Aadmi Party’s impact on people.

 “I didn’t get support from my party which I should have,” Dikshit told a news channel.

“There’s no denying the fact that there were problems in coordination,” she added.

Crediting Arvind Kejriwal and AAP’s spectacular performance in the recently concluded Delhi assembly polls, Ms Dikshi said, “He (Kejriwal) is far wiser than me.”

Arvind Kejriwal defeated three-time chief minister Sheila Dikshit with over 25,864 votes in New Delhi constituency.
