Launching unprecedented attack on Congress and its Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, BJP’s prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today rubbishes Congress’s policy over Centre’s funds allocation to the states.
Countering Congress’s latest allegation against BJP ruled Chhattishgarh where it said that Dr. Raman Singh govt has misused the money given by them.
Narendra Modi today asked Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, whether that money comes from Italy.
“But I want to ask Rahul, has that money come from his ‘maternal uncle’s place’? It’s not their money, it’s public’s money. I don’t understand what kind of language are they speaking about giving away funds to state, are the people in Chhattisgarh waiting with begging bowls?”, he asked.
“They fear, they would lose power in 2014 and BJP would form the government in Delhi. That’s why they want to call off opinion polls,” Modi added.
Criticizing Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Modi said, “While all Congress leaders have praised and awarded Chhattisgarh for its developments and achievements, madam commented about state being poor, backward and underdeveloped. Everyone knows how Raman Singh has developed the state fighting all odds.”
Praising Raman Singh government, Modi said, “BJP follows one mantra which includes all these qualities and talks about ‘Vikas’ (development).”
“Development in the country would get doubled if you choose BJP for the third term in Chhattisgarh and when the party comes to power from Delhi as well, just imagine the scale of development you would get to see,” Modi added.
