Sachin Tendulkar will be playing his last test match at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai as BCCI ‘s Programmes and Fixtures committee decided to grant Tendulkar his wish of playing his farewell match in his home ground. When the committee, headed by Rajib Shukla, met on Tuesday to chalk out the itinerary for the upcoming West Indies series scheduled to be held on the next month, selected Kolkata and Mumbai as the venue of the two test matches.
The Carribean side will play the first test match at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata from 6th November which will mark the opening of the historic test match series. Sachin’s 200th test match will begin from 14th November at the Wankhede Stadium, his home ground where he made his first-class debut in the Mumbai team.
The BCCI has also decided to make grand arrangements to bid farewell to Sachin. It will surely be an emotional ending to a long journey of Sachin’s career in front of the home crowd.
