Former Infosys CEO and UIDAI chairman Nandan Nilekani indicated on Monday that he may join politics.
“I am considering all my options as I look at what I do post-Aadhaar,” Nilekani said.
“Having a strong corporate background has been beneficial but there were few adjustments I had to make accordingly to work in the government sector,” Padma Bhushan awardee added.
However he avoid reports of his joining Congress party and contest upcoming general elections.
The 58-year-old Nilekani left Infosys in 2009 to lead the government’s dream project – Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
He has authored best-selling non-fiction book “Imagining India: The Idea of a Renewed Nation” and is currently bust with the next book.
