Facebook to buy Israel’s Waze?

Israeli business daily Calcalist reports that Facebook is in final stage talk with Waze to acquire the mobile satellite navigation startup.

Facebook’s had already acquired two Israeli startups – Snaptu for $70 million and Face.com for $60 million.

Waze has a user base to 45 million.

According to the reports Facebook is to buy Waze for $800 million to $1 billion.

Waze provides real-time traffic info by using satellite signals from members’ smartphones to generate maps and traffic data and then shares it with other users.

No official comments at Waze came on the report.
