Legendary revolutionary and anti-British movement leader Binod Bihari Chowdhury passed away at a hospital in Kolkata on Wednesday night. He was 104.
Binod Bihari was born on January 10, 1911 at North Bhurshi village under Boalkhali upazila of Chittagong.
He fought against British alongside Masterda Surya Sen during 1930s in Chittagong Uprising. He was active member in the Chittagong Armoury looting in 1930.
Binod Bihari also played an active role during liberation war of Bangladesh in 1971 against Pakistan.
He was honoured with the ‘Independence Award’ by Bangladesh Government.
