New Zealand cricketer Jesse Ryder is serious, taken to hospital

The 28-year-old New Zealand cricketer Jesse Ryder has been taken to the intensive care in Christchurch Hospital following a fight at a bar in Christchurch in the early morning. His skull was fractured badly.  

New Zealand Police has confirmed the news and in a statement said, “…can confirm the incident did involve Jesse Ryder and that he is currently in Christchurch Hospital”.

New Zealand Cricket board tweeted: “The whole NZC team’s thoughts are with @DijaRyder this morning.”

The talented cricketer Jesse Ryder has history of disciplinary issues especially alcohol related incidents.

According to news channels Ryder was fighting with four unidentified men at a bar and he was “absolutely smashed” by those four men.

Ryder was supposed to come to India this week to play for the Delhi Daredevils in the IPL 6 matches.  Delhi Daredevils paid US$260,000 for him at IPL auction.
