Oscar-winning director Ang Lee will make his TV debut soon with series “Tyrant”.
Ang Lee, who won the best director Academy Award for Life Of Pi last month, has signed a contract with channel FX.
“Ang Lee has demonstrated time and again an ability to present characters with such depth and specificity that they reveal the universal human condition,” John Landgraf, FX president, said in a statement.
Based on cultural and political conflict, the ‘Tyrant‘ will go on air on US cable channel FX this summer.
