Apple iPhone 4S beats Samsung Galaxy S III

Apple iPhone 4S emerges as clear winner in the war with Samsung Galaxy S III in worldwide sales.

Apple iPhone 4S has beaten Samsung Galaxy S III in the fourth quarter ended 31 December, 2012.

According to research Strategy Analytics report iPhone 5 took the top spot after being sold over 27.4 million units in the last quarter of 2012.

iPhone 4S is in the second spot with selling of 17.4 million units, while Galaxy S III was sold 15.4 million units during this period, taking third place.

Together these 3 smartphones have grabbed 27.7% of world smartphone market.
