Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has launched the campaign against malnourishment on Sunday. The campaign is to create awareness about malnutrition in the country through advertisements and short films.
Actor Aamir Khan, the UNICEF brand ambassador for malnutrition, has already shot 40 films in 18 languages in this cause.
Caroline Dendulk, chief of communications in UNICEF, said, “One in every three malnourished children in the world lives in India”.
In India more than 47% children under three are victim of malnutrition. Madhya Pradesh has the highest percentage in malnutrition with 55%, Kerala being the lowest with 27 percent.
About 50% children deaths are due to malnutrition.
